Evolutionaries
7 November 2019 19:30 - 21:30
The city of the future is in constant transformation and seeks creative solutions to tailor-made housing and mixed-use environments. During 'Evolutionaries' we use the radical ideas of Yona Friedman's _Spatial City _as a blueprint for the challenges that today's architects and urbanists are faced with. How can we create a contemporary urban environment that allows architecture to evolve beyond rigid structures? How do cities cope with flexibility in structures worldwide, such as China and South Africa? How can cities become more 'elastic' and adaptive, and why is this necessary?
