Creative with cork leather

Cork leather is an amazing material: it's strong yet supple. In the workshop 'Creative with cork leather', adults will make a rucksack, bag or phone case. Children will make a raft or boat that floats.

Adults In this workshop you will learn how to work with cork leather, a natural, organic material that is an excellent alternative to leather: it has a similarly supple texture. Two sorts of cork leather are available: matt and glossy. You can also choose between several different models: a simple rucksack with cork leather details, a bag or a phone case.

The workshop costs ¬19.50, including supervision, materials, use of equipment, tea or coffee and a snack. Experience with a sewing machine in not necessary. Please note: lunch is not included but Het Nieuwe Cafe offers a range of sandwiches and salads.

Children Did you know that cork floats? And that besides using it to seal wine bottles, you can also make bags out of it? In this workshop children will work with cork leather. They will discover how strong this material is and will design their own raft, boat or even a house! And of course they can take the finished product home with them!

The workshop costs ¬5.00, including entry, a short guided tour, supervision and materials.
