Archive Live! #2: Co-designing a More-than-human Future
Can we create a world in which humans, plants, animals and fungi collaborate on an equal footing? How could design facilitate interactions between different species? In this edition of Archive Live! we build a bridge between the exhibition FUNGI: Anarchist Designers and treasures from the National Collection for Dutch Architecture and Urban Planning.
19 March 2026 18:00 - 21:00
This evening event will showcase designers’ efforts to work with nature over the decades, based on works from the National Collection. These range from the experimental gardens of Mien Ruys to the intricately detailed ecological drawings of Pjotr Gonggrijp.
With a keynote by architect and researcher Katja Hogenboom: Multispecies worldbuilding, and a panel discussion with Anne Karin ten Bosch (researcher at Stadspark West) and Stefanie Korrel (curator at the Nieuwe Instituut).
Before the programme begins, visitors will have the opportunity to view these items from the collection up close. Afterwards, there will be a panel discussion exploring how these examples can serve as blueprints for a liveable future today.
