An Evening With: Jeanne Gang
American architect Jeanne Gang has become world famous for her environmentally conscious approach to design, buildings and cities, and for her innovative material choices. With Aric Chen, Director of the Nieuwe Instituut, she will discuss how architects and designers can respond to the sustainability challenge, introducing the new conceptual framework of “architectural grafting”, as explored in her recently published book. What lessons can architects and museums learn from the way that growers combine old and young plants, allowing them to become one and thrive together? The evening is organised in collaboration with the Independent School for the City.
