Otterdam Furry Art Festival
The Otterdam Furry Arts Festival (OFAF) invites everyone to celebrate anthropomorphic art and design with the furry community through a series of talks on furry art. How do people find their inner furry personality and express their ‘fursona’? Speakers will teach you how to create colourful creatures that show you as you see yourself.
19 October 2024 07:00 - 15:00
Furry art is everywhere, from ancient legends to video games. In the last 40 years, its appreciation has exploded and a furry fandom has emerged. Fans continue the tradition with drawings, dance, costumes, virtual reality and the creation of personal characters: fursonas.
Furries, or fans of anthropomorphised animals and zoomorphic humans, are a worldwide online phenomenon. This festival marks the beginning of the legitimisation of furry studies as a new field of research, and aims to promote global and interdisciplinary collaboration between furry scholars and fans.
