Regenerative Archives: Transforming perspectives on design and digital culture
Archives often focus on preservation, whereas regeneration is about growth, change and revitalisation. In this one-day symposium, organised by the Network Archives Design and Digital Culture (NADD), we explore how regeneration plays an important role in creating future-proof archives.
12 June 2025 07:30 - 18:00
How can designers use their creativity to create sustainable archives for design and digital culture? And how can artistic interventions ensure that we experience and use archival material in new ways? Join us on 12 June for a day of interactive lectures, roundtable discussions, sound explorations and hands-on workshops on archiving, regeneration and the future of design and digital culture.
With contributions from Attiyah Khan (Future Nostalgia), Mariana Lanari and Remco van Bladel (Archival Consciousness), Pleun van Dijk and Jaap Knevel (Future Materials Lab), James Rae Parnell, Kirsten Algera and Ernst van de Hoeven (MacGuffin magazine), Douglas McCarthy (Open Future), Lara Khaldi (De Appel), Sofia Lee (CARI), Margarita Osipian (The Hmm) and many more. The day will be hosted by Marsha Simon.
