VR makes Sonneveld house accessible to a larger audience
Pay a virtual visit to every floor and room of Sonneveld House using VR or iPad. We want to give as many visitors as possible the chance to discover the interior of Sonneveld House ‘in real life’. That’s why visitors can now experience the entire house in 3D, while listening to the audio tour, from the colourful and wheelchair-accessible ground-floor studio of Sonneveld House.
7 March 2022
The greater part of the museum house, a national monument from the 1930s, is not accessible by wheelchair because of its staircases, narrow corridors and steps. People who use a wheelchair or who would rather not climb the stairs can now enjoy a virtual tour of the house from the studio instead. You can see – and listen – to the house’s rich history, its interior, architecture, residents, art, design and much more.
To take the virtual tour, you simply need to show your entrance ticket, which is also valid for Het Nieuwe Instituut. Visitors who find it difficult to visit the museum on their own can bring a helper with them for free (tickets for helpers are available at the box offices of Sonneveld House and Het Nieuwe Instituut).
