Original Gispen furniture back in Sonneveld House
Het Nieuwe Instituut has acquired a set of original Gispen furniture that stood in the living room of Sonneveld House until the 1950s.
30 August 2016
Willem Hendrik Gispen designed the lady's and gentlemen's armchairs and coffee table specially for the Sonneveld family. Het Nieuwe Instituut is delighted to announce that these unique pieces of furniture are returning to Sonneveld House in the hundredth anniversary of the Gispen firm. The acquisition has been made thanks to a generous contribution from the BankGiro Lottery.
Sonneveld House (1933) is the only publicly accessible house that is almost completely furnished with Gispen items. The furniture will be on view in Sonneveld House from 10 September 2016.
