Open Call: Design Fair 2026. Designs for a Regenerative Future
The Design Fair 2026 celebrates circular, regenerative and sustainable design. Are you a designer, maker or craftsperson who works with bio-based materials or regenerative products? Or perhaps you specialise in repairing or upcycling items such as household appliances or furniture? If so, we want to hear from you!

The fair is much more than just an exhibition. It’s also a vibrant platform for action, exchange, and education. Visitors can buy products, take part in workshops, and have their broken items repaired or transformed.
We are selecting participants based on three central categories:
- Bio-based materials: designers who experiment with sustainable, natural materials.
- Repair and transformation: craftspeople who repair and transform products on the spot, from coffee makers to armchairs.
- Regenerative products: designs that actively contribute to the restoration of ecosystems.
What we are offering
- A stand or workspace at the Design Fair 2026 at the Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam.
- Visibility to a broad audience of designers, students, sustainability professionals and culture enthusiasts.
- The opportunity to showcase and potentially sell your work.
- The chance to become part of a network of innovative makers.
How to take part?
Send an email to Jeroen Dijkstra by 30 June 2026 with the following:
- A brief description of your work/practice (max. 200 words).
- Images of your designs, repairs or projects (photos, sketches or a portfolio).
- A motivation explaining why you want to take part in the Design Fair 2026.
- Your contact details (name, email address, phone number and website/Instagram handle).
The Design Fair 2026 will take place on Sunday 27 September 2026, from 11:00 to 17:00. Location: Nieuwe Instituut, Rotterdam (under the Arcade and in the Nieuwe Café).
