Portraits of architects
Het Nieuwe Instituut's photo collection contains a large number of photographs of architects: at the drawing board, on a study trip, giving a lecture, in a meeting, teaching students, on holiday, at lunch.

From snapshots made at the periphery of their profession to formal portraits made for prospective members of the BNA, the Netherlands architects association. The most appealing category is the architect at work - or pretending to be - posing in their own studio or office in a well-planned composition, surrounded by the attributes of their labour.
