When the weather is good, sun worshippers mark their territory on the beach with countless towels. During this workshop, participants will make a beach towel that can also function as a sarong or a cool surf hoodie. On Sunday 24 July 2016 create a multifunctional item for lying on the beach or parading on the boardwalk.

Two in one: from Beach Towel to Sarong

The rosette is best known from equestrian sports, where it is awarded to the winning competitors. But such a festive and sporty corsage can be worn on many other occasions. Make a rosette from ribbon or textiles for yourself or someone else who deserves one.

Drop-in workshop – making rosettes  

The New Haberdashery was a fabric shop and sewing studio in the foyer of Het Nieuwe Instituut. Under the supervision of experienced makers, visitors could use a range of fabrics, patterns, trimmings and professional equipment to make garments and other products.
